Talking about us

In 1971, Mr. Eckhard Merz established a design office in Lich, Germany.
In September 1979 Merz Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH was founded by the managing directors Mrs. Maria Merz and Mr. Eckhard Merz.
In the year 2002, Mr. Bernd Kirchhof became the third managing director.
The second generation is represented by Mr. Holger and Gerald Merz who are both working in the family business. The company has 50 highly qualified emyployees.
Our service includes the development, design, manufacturing and sale of packaging machines and special machines / constructions for Stickpacks (small tubular bags) and 3-/4-side sealed bags.
Our customers are placed in the tobacco / pharmaceutical / cosmetics / food / chemicals industry. As our customers continue to trust in the reliability, flexibility and long life of our machines, the companys exports have risen to more than 70 %.
